DTI operates regularly scheduled
fixed route public bus service in Hancock County. Areas served include
Ellsworth, all of Mount Desert Island, the Blue Hill peninsula including
Brooklin, Sedgwick, Deer Isle and Stonington, the northern Hancock
County town of Otis, the coastal towns of Hancock, Sullivan, Gouldsboro
and Winter Harbor in eastern Hancock County, and the Town of Bucksport
in western Hancock County.

The Island Explorer features
eight bus routes linking hotels, inns, and campgrounds with destinations
in Acadia National Park and neighboring village centers.

WHCA provides a range
of transportation services in both Hancock and Washington Counties.
WHCA directly provides social service transportation for all
towns in Hancock and Washington Counties on a demand response
basis. Transportation is provided through a combination of
accessible vehicles with professional drivers and volunteers
who provide rides in their own vehicles. Reimbursement is available
for those who can provide their own ride. Arrangements can
be made through WHCA to obtain transportation on other transit
systems.

West's
Transportation provides fixed-route
and demand response public transportation service to communities within
Washington county and eastern portions of Hancock County. Seven-day
a week intercity service is provided between Calais and Bangor (named
Coastal Connection) with stops in Washington and Hancock Counties along
the way.
