Free Digital Thermometers Exchanged for Mercury Thermometers at Upcoming Ellsworth Household Hazardous Waste Collection
The Hancock County Planning Commission is offering free digital thermometers
to the first 50 households that drop off mercury-containing thermometers for
safe disposal at the second annual greater Ellsworth regional household hazardous
waste collection event. The collection event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, at the Ellsworth High School on State Street
in Ellsworth.
Households must be from sponsoring communities to participate at no cost and pre-registration is required. For more information, please contact your town office or Sherry Churchill, HCPC Planner, at 667-7131.
