FAITH IN ACTION COMMUNITY CONNECTION is a new community grassroots interfaith volunteer caregiving program in Hancock County that will provide free services for elderly and disabled people and their caregivers. Volunteers are needed throughout Hancock County to help their elderly and disabled neighbors with small tasks to make life better. We will provide free services including transportation, simple home repairs, yard work, meal delivery, shopping, light housekeeping, telephone reassurance, etc. Volunteers can volunteer in their neighborhood or further abroad, depending on their own preference.

Our mission statement: to offer free services to residents of Hancock County with needs not now being met, focusing on the elderly and disabled, to help them live their lives to the fullest capacity.

Our first volunteer orientation will be held Wednesday, November 12, at the Ellsworth Public Library, at 3:00 and 6:00. Prospective volunteers can attend either session, which will last an hour and a half. Individual and neighborhood orientations are also available.
